Seller lease backs aren't very uncommon--especially with?short term month-to-month agreements.? From my experience sellers will sell with the option to lease back at the?close of escrow for the most common number one reason in my experience:? The Seller doesn't want to buy a new property contingent on the sale of his existing asset (especially important in "hot" markets)
In fact I am selling a property right now where the owner requests a short term lease back until they buy a replacement property with their proceeds.
Best wishes from So-Cal and good luck
